Heavyweight concrete has been used for a wide range of projects, but is particularly useful in the medical field. Anderson Concrete has produced and delivered concrete to every hospital in the Columbus area. Advancement in cancer treatment has created the need for heavyweight concrete mixes to surround radiation vaults in these facilities.

In 2012, when delivering concrete to The Ohio State University’s James Cancer Hospital, Anderson Concrete produced the heaviest concrete ever produced and delivered in North America at that time. We are able to produce concrete that weights up to 260 pounds per cubic foot by utilizing aggregate sources from around the world!
